Who am I? And why do I blog?

Well, my name is Hannah Bowman. I’m a new literary agent at Liza Dawson Associates, specializing in all kinds of commercial fiction, including YA, and select nonfiction. My professional blog (if you don’t want to see recipes etc.) is a Tumblr: hannahbowman.tumblr.com.

As you’ll see if you read this blog, as a hobby I write quirky fantasy and science fiction.

When I’m not agenting or writing, I spend a lot of my time cooking. (The sushi in my header was homemade.) So in addition to posts about fiction, expect to hear a lot about FOOD! Actually, sometimes I spend time cooking and writing/editing at once — I’ve found that making soup is the best way to solve plot problems. (I’ll put my soup meta-recipes in a later post.)

When I’m not thinking about writing or food, I’m usually discussing theology/philosophy/church history with my husband or playing the organ.
